I've never been one for formal introductions, especially on such an informal platform like blogger. Nonetheless, I don't know you, you don't know me (or us rather).... though, maybe you already do?
I'm Ashleigh.
29 (staring 30 in the face).
He's Adam
30 (with the whits of an 80-year old man, some days)
We're young(ish), old souls, dreamers, entrepreneurs, visionaries, best friends, go-getters and __________(insert positive noun here).
oh, and we're married. Adam claims we almost have "tenure" (celebrating 10-years of being together in July of 2017). We don't have kids (yet) and we don't have a dog (yet) - in due time.
So, what is Us for Real and why did we conceive it?
I (Ashleigh) used to frequently blog on my own. More-often-than-not, I found myself writing about Adam and I's adventures in marriage, travel, business, etc. Time wore on and responsibilities piled up and I found myself abandoning my blog for some time and then 6 months later, circling back, writing a "I'm sorry I abandoned you blog" post, vowing I would consistently return, only to find myself circling back 6 months later to write the same, sad song.
I love to write, vlog and document life. Life with Adam makes it worth doing so. I began researching concepts for couples who blog together and found that a lot of the couples I ran across had certain niche blogs; but no one that really shared their lives; the good, the bad and the awkward (perhaps I was looking in all the wrong areas?)
Us for Real is simply Adam and I - for real. No curtains, no elaborate, BS-filled, pinterest-looking lives. It's he and I, living our lives. We are both so excited to share some of our journey's with you and have you (or maybe none of you, if no one reads this blog) get to know us as a married couple.
We are real. raw and true. We don't paint ourselves any other way.
We look forward to documenting our journey with you.
